October 2005Cranbrook's 6th Gerry Dakin Memorial Oct. 22-23 It's also the Cranbrook Open Badminton Tournament in BC. Entry deadline is Oct. 18 for this BadmintonBC sanctioned tournament. Wendy Carter Region-4 Head Coach Wendy was nominated by Regional Coaching Director, Eric Lee in consultation with USA Badminton Region-4 Director Alan Mills. Wendy comes to us with an incredible history of both domestic and international experience. USAB's Long Term Athlete Development Plan hopes to identify base talent, motivate and encourage talent and participate in introductory coach education workshops and clinics. Read more here... In what maybe the beginning of a new era of elite badminton, Alaska came, saw and conquered what was a fun and exciting time. In addition to all the excellent court times, a meeting of the minds was held to discuss the possible formation of an organization for our region. Stay tuned for developments.
